Announcing Carbon Black Cloud API Key Improvements

The following improvements to API Key functionality have been released:

• Custom Access Levels for API Keys can now have Authorized IP Addresses set. Attempts to authenticate with the API key from any other IP address will be forbidden.

• Improved visibility of API Key Session Renewal time.

  • On the API Access Level Page, the time the API Session was last renewed is displayed making it easier to determine which API keys are in active use.
    

• Deprecated Access Level types API and SIEM are clearly marked when selected.
  • Deactivation of the API Access Level Types is planned for the second half of 2024.
  • See the Migration Guides for information about the APIs and Access Level Types that are deprecated, the deactivation dates and how to update to new APIs.
