New Release: Carbon Black Cloud Sensor Update Services API

We are happy to announce the release of the Carbon Black Cloud Sensor Update Services API 1.0.

What is it?

This API replaces the following:

• /appservices/v6/orgs/{org_key}/device_actions POST
  • Specifically with “UPDATE_SENSOR_VERSION” action

Who is it for?

The Sensor Update Services API can be used by any Carbon Black Cloud user with permission in the service category “org.kits” set to EXECUTE.

What does it do?

The Sensor Update Service lets you batch sensor updates automatically across your organization and provides visibility into the update jobs progress. It can update large quantities of devices — up to 10k — without putting your network at risk. The sensor updater will slow roll the upgrades in batches of 200 to prevent all the sensors requesting the new version and downloading simultaneously.
